PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Carolina Galaviz - Trevino, LPC Associate, supervised by Alaina Hinojosa, LPC-Supervisor is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's hardships, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop meaningful connections.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2023 and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2025, both from Texas A&M University–Kingsville.

Carolina works with adolescents, young adults, and adults. She supports clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, self-esteem and self-worth concerns, and challenges related to personal identity and purpose. She has a particular passion for helping individuals who find it difficult to ask for help or express their emotions. Carolina's research has focused on men’s challenges with emotional expression and seeking support, deepening her understanding of these barriers.

Her therapeutic style is compassionate and collaborative, helping clients recognize what is within their control, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and develop practical strategies for navigating life's difficulties.

Carolina takes an individualized approach, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and neuroscience-informed interventions.

Carolina believes that meaningful change begins with feeling understood and accepted without judgment. She approaches therapy as a shared journey, walking alongside her clients as they explore their experiences, identify personal values, and work toward goals that reflect the life they want to build.

Whether someone is feeling overwhelmed, struggling to find direction, or learning to open up about difficult emotions, Carolina is here to offer a supportive space where they can gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with greater purpose and hope.
