Mireya is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Supervised by Jacklyn Alfaro Padilla, LMSW- Clinical Supervisor, deeply committed to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and personal growth. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2018 and her Master of Science in Social Work in 2022 from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
With specialized expertise in working with Latino individuals, families, and groups, Mireya has cultivated a deep understanding of cultural characteristics, allowing her to offer holistic care that respects and honors each client's unique background. Her areas of expertise include trauma recovery, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, life transitions, and anger management.
Mireya works with a diverse range of clients, including children aged 5 to 17 and adults, guiding them through some of life's most challenging obstacles. She firmly believes that every challenge presents an opportunity for growth and transformation. Mireya’s approach is centered on enhancing her clients’ overall well-being, fostering resilience, and nurturing a sense of empowerment in the face of adversity.
At the core of Mireya's philosophy is the belief in balancing heart, spirit, and mind for true healing. She views mental health as a holistic process where inner peace and emotional harmony are essential for lasting change. Mireya meets clients where they are, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. With empathy and a focus on creating a safe space for self-discovery, she helps clients align their thoughts, emotions, and actions, fostering resilience and growth. Through this approach, Mireya empowers individuals to achieve emotional stability and clarity, laying the foundation for long-term well-being.
