Liliana Montemayor, LPC

Liliana Montemayor is a Licensed Professional Counselor that is dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed, and client-centered care. She believes in creating a supportive environment where clients can feel safe exploring difficult experiences, developing new coping skills, and working toward meaningful change.

She earned her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2021 and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University in 2024.

Liliana works with teens (ages 15–17) and adults supporting clients through a variety of life experiences and challenges. Her clinical areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, substance use, pain management, life transitions, and relationship difficulties.

Liliana is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates EMDR into her work to help clients process traumatic and distressing experiences and reduce their continued emotional impact. Her therapeutic approach also integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

Through these approaches, Liliana helps clients strengthen emotional regulation, develop healthier coping skills, better understand patterns that may be affecting their well-being, and build practical strategies that can be applied in everyday life.

Whether someone is healing from past trauma, adjusting to a major life transition, navigating relationship challenges, or seeking greater emotional well-being, Liliana is committed to walking alongside them with empathy, authenticity, and practical support every step of the way.
