Emely Hernandez, LMSW

Emely Hernandez is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) supervised by Dayana Zamora, LCSW - Clinical Supervisor. She earned her Bachelor's in Social Work in 2019 and her Master of Science in Social Work in 2020 from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

With over six years of experience, Emely has supported individuals and families in navigating life’s complexities with insight, intention, and compassion. She works with children (ages 8–17), families, and adults, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs and life experiences.

Her clinical focus includes co-occurring disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger management, as well as challenges related to life transitions, family dynamics, and interpersonal relationships. Emely brings a deep understanding of how these experiences can impact emotional well-being and daily functioning, and she works collaboratively with clients to create meaningful and individualized paths toward healing.

Known for her compassionate and empathetic presence, Emely fosters a warm, collaborative, and confidential environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Her approach emphasizes building trust, strengthening self-awareness, and helping clients feel empowered in their growth.

Emely integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, while maintaining a strong trauma-informed and client-centered foundation. Her work focuses on helping clients build emotional resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.
