Karla Garcia is a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful change.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2015 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Karla works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and other emotional concerns. She supports individuals healing from difficult or traumatic experiences while helping them develop healthier ways to manage emotions, cope with stress, and navigate periods of change.
Her background in guiding individuals through learning and personal growth complements her clinical experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, safety planning, and therapeutic communication.
Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and expressive arts therapy. She helps clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while developing practical strategies to strengthen coping skills and improve emotional well-being.
